Carpet Cleaning Rule # 1
The dirtier your carpet is… the more it’s going to cost to have it cleaned properly.
Imagine not cleaning your stove-top for a week, or a month or a year! How much more difficult would it be for you to clean it? If your stove top was just dirty from last night’s meal then it might take just a few quick swipes with a damp cloth or sponge to get the surface clean again.
But if you had not cleaned it after daily use for a week or more, then can you imagine how long it could take to clean it and how much more difficult the task would be? The same goes for your carpet.
If you haven’t had your carpet cleaned in a long time, no matter who you call… it’s going to take some extra time & effort to do a thorough job. This means it will cost you more to get the job done right!
Have Allergies, Asthma or Respiratory Issues? Clean your carpets more often!
Any carpet pile can harbor plenty of dirt, dust and debris. Even the most powerful vacuums can’t remove everything embedded deep in the carpet pile. Having your carpet cleaned an a regular basis can not only help reduce the overall cost, but may also help you and your family live in a much cleaner living environment
Can Bad Air Quality Cause Respiratory Problems?
Having your carpet cleaned every other year is the standard in a normal household. However, if you have a large family, you should have your carpet cleaned more often. If you or your family have any respiratory issues like asthma, COPD or allergies, then I think it would be wise to have your carpet cleaned more often.
Cleaning your carpet once every 18 months, or even once a year, may help reduce the potential for respiratory symptoms, or problems caused from exposure to air-borne pollutants. Using a vacuum with a HEPA Filter (High-Efficiency Particulate Arresting) may also a good idea. Check out my Carpet Vacuum Cleaner page.
